The DD coil is the preferred option when the mineral conditions are at their most extreme. Garrett's unique sliding mount design combines the benefits of a centre-mounted coil, such as balance and easy tilting. The solid coil design is more durable against impact. The top surface of the front half of the solid coil is large and flat, making it perfect for spreading a handful of dirt to search for small nuggets. This coil is excellent for prospecting and relic hunting, as it glides smoothly over brush, rocks, and other obstacles, providing enhanced scrubbing abilities.
