The Minelab Detector Backpack is the brand’s first officially developed carry pack created specifically for transporting modern foldable Minelab metal detectors.
Engineered to fit detectors such as the Equinox 700, Equinox 900, and Manticore, the backpack allows you to store and transport your detector while it remains largely assembled. With the detector folded and the arm cup quickly removed using the quick-release system, it fits securely inside the pack by extending the top storage section.
Designed for field use, the backpack offers structured protection for key components, including the control box, shaft and search coil. This helps safeguard your detector during transport to rallies, detecting permissions, or day trips, while keeping your equipment organised and easy to carry.
A distinctive feature of the bag is the Minelab camouflage logo pattern on the front panel. This marks the first time Minelab has introduced a backpack with their signature camo branding, giving it a recognisable look that matches the styling of their latest detector range.
Practical storage has also been built into the design. External side holders allow you to carry tools such as a digging spade, while additional pockets provide space for items like headphones, pinpointers, gloves and other detecting accessories.
Rather than a standard backpack, this is a specialist transport solution designed around the shape and requirements of modern Minelab detectors, providing a practical and protective way to carry your equipment into the field.

The smaller top pocket includes several practical features.
• Headphone clip
A built-in clip keeps headphones securely in place, preventing movement during transport. Since headphones and pinpointers are among the most frequently damaged accessories, this helps protect them.

There is also a dedicated clip for securing a spare coil.
• Hidden accessory pocket
Just beneath the coil clip is a discreet pocket, ideal for storing pinpointers and other small accessories.

Simply remove the arm cup. Once removed, the detector fits comfortably inside the backpack.
• X-Terra series
Because the square shaft design prevents rotation, the lower stem must be removed. Once separated, the detector can be placed in the backpack without issue.
These small adjustments allow the backpack to remain compact while accommodating a wide range of machines.
