Viking Metal Detectors. One of the best known and longest established names in the metal detecting industry. We have been manufacturers and suppliers of metal detectors to hobbyists and the water industry in the UK and Europe for over 25 years . Viking Metal Detectors have been manufacturing here in Blackburn, England since the 1970's. Our primary aim has always been to produce quality metal detectors for the hobbyist, though for many years we have also supplied the water authorities.

We pride ourselves on being totally devoted manufacturers of metal detectors, and as such we make nothing else. Export trade is a growing side of our business, and we are pleased to report that we now sell metal detectors to dealers in over 10 European countries.

Viking V1

This is a scaled down version of the Viking 5 with a smaller 6" coil. The Viking V1 is an affordable detector that is both comfortable and easy to use. This non motion machine is ideal to get children started in the hobby.

Viking V5

The Viking 5 is a TR detector with two controls, on/off with fine-tuning and the other offering coarse tuning, able to pick up most metals, it has an inherent partial discrimination against small rusty nails.

Viking V6

The Viking V6 is an easy to use TR Non-Motion detector with adjustable discrimination allowing the user to reject ferrous (iron) targets such as small iron nails. The Viking V6 also features push button retuning and is suitable for adults or children alike.

Viking VK10

The Viking 10 is a lightweight switch on and go Motion detector. featuring adjustable sensitivity and discrimination. The Viking VK10 is the first machine in Vikings new styled VK series. This detector is a versatile machine for use both inland and at the top of the beach.

VK20

The Viking 20 is a motion machine with full discrimination & sensitivity control. The VK20 also comes with a target ID meter, making this a very compact and easy to use machine. The Viking VK20 is an easy to use, lightweight switch on and go Motion detector.

VK30

The Viking 30 is a motion machine with full discrimination. The VK30 operates like 2 detectors in 1. Its motion mode provides discrimination and the addition of a non-motion mode allows accurate pinpointing of target objects.

VK40

This is the latest detector in the Viking range. The VK40 is set apart from the rest of the Viking range by its concentric search coil and membrane keypad control system. The large coil allows objects to be detected deeper than with the other Viking detectors.

Wasp

The Viking WASP is a TR detector with two controls, on/off with fine tuning and the other offering coarse tuning, able to pick up most metals. This detector is ideal for use in detecting manhole covers and stopcock boxes, which have been covered by earth or tarmac.
