The Guardian hand held security metal detector has an audio or vibration alert for maximum discretion. The LED target indicator will light up when a target has been detected. There is a momentary low toggle switch to eliminate interference witha choice of operating frequencies. The Guardian security metal detector also has a low battery led indicator.

Hand held body scanner Functions

• Quick change battery compartment. Use a coin or screwdriver to open compartment. Insert circular cam lock and twist to secure in closed position .
• All Metal Detection. Detects all types of metal Will not detect non-metallic objects or weapons that do not contain metal .
• Momentary low detection. While holding down the "momentary low" switch, the detection range will be reduced. Very small objects, such as the metal rivets sewn into clothing, will not be detected beyond a range of one inch from the object. Also large environmental objects, like metal reinforcing bars in floors, will not be detected beyond a range of several inches. Release the "momentary low" switch to return to normal operation.
• Silent operation. Position the "silent/audio" switch in the "silent/vibrate" position and: The detector will NOT emit an audible tone upon detection of metal objects. The vibrator will activate upon the detection of metal objects, the "target" led will illuminate.
• Operating frequency selection. Choose from two alternate operating frequencies in the event of electromagnetic interference from other electronic devices.
• Low battery indication. When the batteries need to be replaced the low battery light will illuminate and the detection tone will stay on momentarily after detecting a metallic object.
• Visual target response . Red light flashes when a metal object is located.
• Conform handgrip. Removable wrist strap .
